British wholesale gas prices dropped on Monday morning due to a strongly oversupplied gas system.
The day-ahead contract fell by 0.25 pence to 13.75 pence per therm by 0837 GMT.
The within-day contract was down by 1.10 pence at 13.50 p/therm.
