China launched its first rail project for double-stacking half-height containers for subsequent maritime transport, CCTV reports.
The initial train departed from Baotou in Inner Mongolia for Huanghuagang port in the Hebei province. The route provides bulk cargo transport along rail-sea lines without changing or opening containers throughout transit.
