Restraints in supplies fail to keep North Sea region’s natural gas prices up

British prompt gas prices fell sharply on Monday morning as temperatures were expected to rise, and demand for gas was weak.

Gas for immediate delivery fell by 2.25 pence to 21.50 pence per them by 0948 GMT.

The day-ahead contract was down 1.20 pence at 22.00 p/therm.
